What is it?
EFT Tapping the lowdown.
Tapping may well be the biggest thing you have never heard of… However, it is my number one mind body tool for soothing negative emotions and programming in positive mindset.
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. It is an incredible mind body tool that relieves emotional and physical ailments, with nothing more than your fingers and Intention by tapping on acupressure points on the face and upper body.
How does it work?
When you do EFT, it sends a message to the amygdala (the part of the brain that is known for its fight or flight response) that the negative thought attached to the, memory, ailment or emotion is non-threatening.
It interrupts and then re-educates the amygdala about the meaning of the thoughts, feelings, or emotions. The memory can then move to another part of the brain where it no longer has a negative emotional charge.
When this happens, the negative emotion is soothed, and we can program in positive mindset to achieve your desired goal!
What can it be used for?

How to do EFT Tapping
Generally, you use your three middle fingers to tap on all the points. Please see the diagram below.

The pressure should be quite light, and you can tap on either side of the body using either or both hands.
To begin you tap on the karate chop point continuously while you describe the issue and focus on the intention to relieve and resolve it.
You then use your fingers to tap approximately seven times on each tapping point in turn while voicing the effects or symptoms of the issue.
Keep tapping on all the points and gradually move towards saying soothing and then more positive statements.
To get results you will most likely need to repeat this more than once. However, when you feel better to keep up momentum and maintain results, top up the tapping with just the positive statements.

Start with the karate chop point. This is where we start tapping as we describe the issue and focus on our intention to resolve it.
1: All this stress and anxiety. I can feel it in my body. I don’t want to feel it. But the truth of how I’m feeling is, anxious, worried, stressed, overwhelmed. I’m worried about what will happen next, worried about people I love, worried about money, there is so much to worry about right now.
Tapping through the points
2: All this anxiety
3: I can’t breathe
4: My chest is tight
5: I am having palpitations
6: I feel lightheaded
7: I am worried I might pass out
8: I can feel it in my stomach
9: My whole body is stiff and tense
Round 2
2: This anxiety
3: All this fear I cannot control
4: It feels so uncomfortable
5: I just want it to go away
6: But even though I am feeling anxious and stressed right now
7: I am open to giving my mind permission to feel calm
8: I am going to take a moment to breathe
9: I am just going to breathe in some calm
Round 3
2: I choose to let go of this anxiety
3: And all of the negative feelings in my body
4: I choose to let go of any negative thoughts attached to this anxiety
5: I choose to let go of all this discomfort
6: I breathe in comfort
7: and breathe out anxiety
8: Releasing all the tension
9: Choosing to feel calm

How long does it take to work?
EFT Tapping the lowdown.
Well based on my own experience,
when you are doing EFT Tapping to relieve anxiety, then results are almost immediate.
If you are using it for pain relief then expect some results in about 5 – 20 mins.
If you are reprogramming your mind for success expect results in about 1 month.
Why is EFT Tapping so effective?
Well simply put our thoughts and feelings drive our actions. Our actions determine our outcomes. Tapping quickly reprograms our sub-conscious to produce better thoughts and feelings. Better thoughts and feelings lead us to take more effective action.
In addition tapping makes us feel better. When we feel better our vibration is raised and we naturally attract better things into our lives.
Are there any downsides?
Well, no there aren’t. The worst thing that could happen is nothing at all. However, most people feel some immediate positive effects.
